Freshen up your face for summer

If you feel you look tired or forlorn, even when you aren’t, maybe it’s time for you to freshen up your face to prepare for the coming summer. By brightening up the area around your eyes with blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery), you can step into the sun, knowing you look bright-eyed and confident. Or maybe rejuvenating your face should be done with Botox.

  • Blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery) – Though summer tends to brighten people’s moods, it can be difficult to tell with some people. This is because the first signs of aging are around the eyes. Puffy bags and drooping eyelids might give the impression that you are exhausted or simply not ready to face the day. In some cases, your vision might be compromised by the naturally occurring effects of age. This can be corrected with blepharoplasty.

Blepharoplasty can take years off the way you look. By removing both fat and excess folds the upper and lower eyelids, Dr. Placik can give you back the expressive nature your eyes had when they were young. Showing off your new eyes is the perfect way to begin your summer.

Because healing can take up to two weeks, and avoiding physical activity for three weeks after blepharoplasty is advisable, schedule your initial consultation now before summer begins.
  • Botox - Botox is the perfect way to show that you are ready for the social season. By eliminating those wrinkles in your forehead or between the eyebrows, you can have a younger, more enthusiastic look that will last through the summer months.

Botox, the temporary wrinkle reliever, is the only chemodenervation agent available in this country. The results can last up to four months. By blocking the nerve endings that send messages to facial muscles, Botox keeps the parts of the face where it was injected from creasing, and causing wrinkles. While this is a temporary solution, Botox can last through the summer, giving you the summer look that your friends and family will compliment at the next Fourth of July party.

Botox has been in use for over ten years as a cosmetic surgery procedure and is completely safe. While a small percentage of people have experienced side effects, such as drooping of the eyelid, tearing, dry eye, or light sensitivity, the effects are temporary. Botox has been the choice for thousands of people who want to look rejuvenated.
