Breast Augmentation with Silicone Implants

Although already a natural C cup, this 24-year-old Chicago patient’s slender build (5’6” and 120 lbs.) left her unhappy with the lack of fullness in her breasts, particularly through the upper pole. She was also interested in achieving a higher profile, possibly with the help of a breast lift.

Since this patient already had excellent symmetry between breasts, Chicago breast surgeon Dr. Otto Placik recommended 350 cc silicone smooth round implants in both sides, opting for a moderate plus profile to ensure a sexier silhouette. At the same time, he also performed a circumareolar breast lift, placing the incision discreetly in the darker pigment of the areola to ensure inconspicuous scar appearance after healing.

Following her breast augmentation, this patient was very happy with her fuller breasts and larger (DD) cup size, along with breast lift scars that faded to nearly invisible by the time these photos were taken.

The use of two different implant sizes was due to a mild breast asymmetry characterized by the right breast being larger and lower than the left.
